Sweet Pea Cole
I draw and paint and sculpt and craft and write as a means of celebrating life, extolling our very existence.
Bright and quirky illustrations reveal my mind’s perpetual questions. Animalistic humans and anthropomorphized plants and animals make 2 and 3 dimensional appearances. Uniquely blended fragrances evoke places and experiences. And everything has an imaginary backstory slowly being written.
Representing the unique, the unfamiliar, the odd, the old, and to the too-often overlooked or forgotten, I encourage inquisitiveness about people and things on the edge of, or completely off, the beaten path. Through my work, I strive to foster an understanding of the connections between all of us - humans, creatures, plants, everything.
My interest in the edges and those who are marginalized stems from a deep belief in the value of all beings.
